The QLTT is the conversion Test
that enables Indian Lawyers to quality as solicitors in England and Wales. Those
lawyers eligible to sit the Test must be qualified in jurisdiction that are
recognised by the Law Society of England & Wales (The Law Society). India
is a recognised jurisdiction by the Law Society.
Exam(s)
The QLTT covers four main subject areas (known as
Heads). These are as follows:
Head I : Property, a three hour written
examination
Head II : Litigation (Civil or Criminal), a
three hour written examination
Head III: Professional Conduct & Accounts, a
three hour written examination
Head IV: Principles of Common Law, an oral
examination
Eligibility
Before registering for the QLTT, you must obtain a
Certificate of Eligibility from the Law Society.
Admission to the Roll of Solicitor
Once an Indian lawyer has successfully passed the
QLTT, he will be able to apply for admission to the Roll of Solicitors of the
Supreme Court of England & Wales.
FLE Legal Education
Fle is the provideer of Qulified Lawyers Transfer
Test (QLTT) in India. QLTT is the conversion test, which will enable the Indian
advocates to qualify as solicitors of Supreme Court of England & Wales.
Working as a Solicitor
Before joining any Law firm in UK after enrolling as
a solicitor, an advocate must have a valid work visa.
Work Permit
For getting a work permit in UK. One must have to
apply for a job of a solicitor in any of the Law Firms in UK.
Holiday work Visa
If newly qualified advocates want to gain
experience/training on English law by working in any of the UK law firms during
your holidays for a period of 12 months.
Visitor Visa
Before applying for any job after qualifying as a
solicitor. One must visit Law Society Gazette website i.e. www.lawgazattee.co.uk
FLE LEGAL EDUCATION (FLE)
FLE is the provider of Qualified Lawyers Transfer
Test (QLTT) in India. The test is provided in conjunction with Central Law
Training (CLT), UK.
The Test examiners and tutors are specialists in
